Mount Baker in Morning Light

The sun is beginning to rise behind this monumental volcano in the Pacific Northwest. Taken from the Canadian side of the border this mountain stands 3,286 m (10,780') above sea level.

On some days, plumes of steam can be seen rising on the horizon.
